Waynesville Youth Volleyball Association
Who We Are
The Waynesville Youth Volleyball Association is a community-based program designed to introduce athletes in grades 2–6 to volleyball in a positive, supportive, and fun environment. Our mission is to build confidence, teach strong fundamentals, and inspire a love for the game.
While our program is development-focused, it also includes a competitive element. Each grade is limited to 12 roster spots, allowing for high-quality instruction, meaningful playing time, and team chemistry. Players of all experience levels are encouraged to participate.

Athlete Registration
The Waynesville Youth Volleyball Association offers seasonal volleyball programming for girls in grades 2–6, designed to meet athletes at different stages of development—from learning the basics to playing in a more competitive environment.
Our pilot season for this Spring will be geared towards a team of 12 girls for each grade with 8-10 games played against local schools. Due to our limited number of spots for each grade we will have a Team Placement Open Gym to determine rosters. The interest for each grade will vary and therefore the competitive nature of the Open Gym will follow suit.
How Our Program Works
FAQ’S
-
There will be no fee to register and attend our Open Gym but once your athlete has been offered a roster spot, to confirm placement on that team, a $75 equipment fee will be charged for the season with an additional $10 charge for the uniform that your athlete will get to keep at the end of the season.
-
After our teams and coaches for each grade have been finalized, we will have a parent meeting where you will receive the schedule for your athletes season. Practices will be once a week with 8-10 games throughout the spring against other local schools. We plan to begin practices mid-March with exact dates to follow the open gym.
-
We are a non-profit organization so we strongly encourage parent volunteers for each grade. We have volunteer positions for coaching, line judging, book keeping and other misc. roles. This is a great opportunity to be a part of your child’s season in a memorable way.
-
Each athlete will receive a jersey with their $10 uniform fee that they will keep at the end of the season. They will each be responsible for supplying their own knee pads and black bottoms (shorts, leggings, spandex, etc.). Practice attire is non-uniform.
-
Practices will be held at Waynesville local schools and games will alternate between away and home with other local schools.
